Lessons

Our lessons aim to work on all aspects of the game, from the shots themselves to team tactics, and we tailor the lessons to the ability of those involved. We also run tactics and rules sessions in the clubhouse as and when we/you feel you need them, and we are discussing starting fitness sessions. The pros tend to only coach our best players, but it is these players that coach the beginners, so the style of coaching should be passed on.

PLEASE NOTE, WE CAN ONLY OFFER LESSONS TO PEOPLE WHO CAN ALREADY RIDE COMPETENTLY. However in some situations we can help you set up riding lessons if you would like to learn with a view to playing polo.

Lesson prices vary from £20-£25, depending on the coach, and membership is £55 per term. We will invoice you for your lessons through PayPal, though in special circumstances we will accept cheques. NO CASH PLEASE. New members, you do not have to pay membership before your first lesson, membership is only necessary for the second lesson onwards.

We currently offer three standards of lesson:

BEGINNER, for people who have less than one year's experience.

NOVICE, for those with over one year's experience. From time to time this category may be split, reflecting the abilities of those within it.

INTERMEDIATE, for those in contention for the A and B teams.
